1973 – The establishment of Tovo Gomma Spa, a company specialising in the manufacture of vulcanised rubber sheets for technical use and industrial applications. The systems include a roller head and presses for compression moulding.
1976 – Tovo Gomma Spa expands its factory. New offices and new laboratories are built. The sheet production business is combined with the production of compounds for third parties, for the injection moulding of technical items, o-rings and seal rings. A compounds department was set up, with the Banbury 130 l line and a complete system for automatic dosing of molten fillers and plasticisers.
1987 – The sheets sector expands with the installation of a modern calendering (roller head) line and two continuous vulcanising machines.
1992 – A second, completely automated and computerised mixer line for black compounds is added to support the existing lined specifically for coloured compounds.
1994 – ISO 9001 Quality Certification obtained for the company Quality Management System.
2000 – Alongside the installation of a compound filtering system, the main line is re-structured for compound production.
2003 – The processing of foam rubber is introduced.
2006 – Installation of a new calendering line for roller head type compounds and the construction of new warehouses. Manufacturing capacity of the sheets department expands with two new continuous vulcanising machines.
2011 – Introduction of a new compounds lines, with a penetrating rotor mixer.
2012 – Installation of a new filtrating line with a gear pump.
2013 – New, 36 station automatic dosing of chemicals system.
2016 – Upgrading of the laboratory area: new tools for R & D and revision of quality control procedures.
2017 – New machinery for in-line filtering and construction of an air-conditioned chamber for the storage of compounds.
2018 – Installation of a new mixing line.
2020 – New management system for integrated data management.
2021 – We developped a new silicone business unit
